A Bangladesh court has given the country's former army chief Moeen U Ahmed almost a month time to reply in a defamation suit.
He has to reply by September 13th in the one billion taka (about 14.3 million U.S. dollars) defamation case filed by a former state minister.
Moeen U Ahmed is currently visiting USA.
Former Bangladesh's army chief Moeen U Ahmed, who retired on June 15 this year, was sued on July 12 for making derogatory comments against the country's former state minister for power Iqbal Hasan Mahmud in March 2007.
