Dr. Anjali Bhattacharyya is a writer and poet and is well known in West Bengal and Bangladesh.
She currently lives in Virginia and had lived in USA for more than three decades.
Dr. Bhattacharyya is an anthropologist and former professor. She taught anthropology at Cleveland State University and at Antioch University in Ohio.
She is now retired and is devoting her full time writing. She also established a literary circle called "Gaddaya Poddayar Ashor," where Bengali writers meet periodically do discuss their writings.
