He worked for Ananda Bazar Patrika as a columnist and film critic for many years. Currently, he is associated with Sangbad Pratidin, a leading newspaper of Kolkata. He is the editor of the literary special weekly supplement of that paper.
He visited the U.S. this summer to attend the North America Bengali Convention held at San Jose, California.
