Montgomery County Official talks about Inter-Faith Relationship  


On September 10 the Executive of the Montgomery County, in Coordination with Montgomery County Muslim Council (MCMC), arranged an Iftar Party for distinguished persons from the Muslim community in the County. Many other distinguished guests belonging to different faiths also attended the program.

In the sideline of this Iftar Party James L Stowe, Director of Human Rights in the county, in an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service , talked about relations amongst people of different religions, colors and races. He talked about the ways the Montgomery County in Maryland State is trying to build a better understanding and forge good relations thru interfaith dialogues.

He explained the program of the Human Rights office at the county level. He added, “our job is to ensure protection and elimination of any kind of discriminations any resident of our county. We are here to advocate general well-being amongst the people of any faith who live in our county.”
