Professor Mustafa Nurul Islam who is a member of the government delegation to the UN, in an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla, said that as an educationist he has had the opportunity to listen to the Heads of State and Governments in the UN and understand their respective problems.
Dr Islam says he felt proud to hear Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina speak in Bangla at the UN. He recalled her father , the founding father of Bangladesh Sheikh Mujibur Rahman who also delivered his speech in Bangla . Professor Mustafa Nurul Islam says that Sheikh Hasina has also expressed the status of Bangladesh in the context of present globalization. He says that not simply as a member of the present delegation but more importantly as an educationist he admires the way the Prime Minister has uphold her country in her speech at UN.
Professor Mustafa Nurul Islam also praises people of Bangladesh at grass root levels where they are bold and courageous to be able to face natural calamities. He welcomes the initiatives of villagers for private cultivations.
