Dr. Ainun Nishat is the Senior Advisor, Climate Change, International Union for conservation of Nature, IUCN Asia.
Dr. Nishat, has been working as a catalyst, advocate, educator and facilitator, championing the wise use of natural resources and sustainable development in Bangladesh for decades.
Dr. Nishat is also a professor at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, BUET.
Dr. Bimal Paul is a professor at Kansas State University. Dr. Paul’s core areas of geographic research are in human-environment interactions, population and health geographies, geospatial analysis and application.
Dr. Paul’s research interests include population geography, medical geography, computer cartography, natural hazards, quantitative methods and South Asia.Listeners called in with questions about different aspects of global climate change, such as, what kind of research is being done, what is the role of businesses and industries, what kinds of funds are available for Bangladesh to tackle such problems, will the developed countries help developing nations etcetera.
