US Trade Representative Sounds Optimistic about Trade facilities for Bangladesh

US Assistant Trade Representative for South Asia Michael Delaney said the American government is very sincere about granting Bangladesh's major exportable products duty-and quota-free market access as per the WTO Hong Kong declaration.

"The demand for Bangladeshi products'' quota-free and duty-free market access to the US market is very reasonable", the American trade representative said during his meeting with Commerce Minister Faruk Khan at his ministry Monday.
Faruk Khan sought cooperation of the US trade representative in attaining the long-sought-after market access for garments as the country''s main export sector has been seriously affected by the global economic recession and climate change.
