Dr Arup Ratan Choudhury, a well-known dentist in Bangladesh,
was in Montreal recently to attend World Congress on Diabetes.
He presented a paper on this new research on the
relationship between Diabetes and Dental Diseases . In an exclusive
interview with VOA Bangla , Dr Choudhury talked about the relationship between
Diabetes and Dental Diseases. He talked about different types of mouth-disease
and cautioned against taking tobacco in any form. He regretted that people do
not even realize that smoking can cause different diseases, aggravate Diabetes
, heart disease and more dangerously cancer .
Dr Arup Ratan Choudhury also narrated the progress made in the field of dental
treatment in Bangladesh. He added that the facilities have not yet been
extended to the villagers.
