Bangladesh Ambassador to USA Akramul Qader presented his credentials to President Obama at the White House last week.
In an interview with Voice Of America, Ambassador Qader spoke about the ceremony and the issues that were brought up at that time.
He said that on behalf of the Bangladesh government he requested President Barack Obama to help Bangladesh in confronting terrorism and effects of climate change. He also requested the President to facilitate tax free trade for Bangladesh garment export industry.
Ambassador Qader said that President Obama gave his assurance to help Bangladesh.
