Dr. Sajed Kamal teaches a weekend intensive workshop at
Brandeis University in Massachusetts
"Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development."
With more than thirty years of experience in the field, he
has been a speaker and consultant on renewable energy internationally, setting
up pilot projects in the USA, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Armenia and El Salvador.
His work has also provided a basis for projects in other countries in Latin
America, Europe and Africa.
Currently he is the president of the International
Consortium for Energy Development, a Boston-based nonprofit corporation
promoting renewable energy education internationally. In this exclusive
interview with VOA Bangla Service Dr Sajed Kamal explains the solar energy
project in Bangladesh which he initiated nearly a couple of decades ago. Dr
Kamal says that Bangladesh has got immense potentiality of using solar energy.
Dr Kamal received Boston Mayor’s Award and US-EPA Award for
his work on Renewable Energy.
Kamal has taught at Boston University, Northeastern University and Antioch New
England Graduate School. Also a poet, artist, educational consultant,
psychotherapist, translator and published author of several books and articles
in various areas, his books include The Solar Revolution: The Energy Solution
for a Sustainable Earth.
