On Monday, clashes broke out between different factions within the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) in Dhaka University. It left 25 people injured, which includes the Proctor, JCD Chief, and four policemen.
Thousands of university students panicked as scenes of violence took over the campus. Guns were used in this clash, along with sticks, and explosions. The Police had to make several attempts to break the clash which became increasingly violent.
In the afternoon, a press conference was held where the JCD leaders announced a strike and blamed Bangladesh Chhatra League, student wing of the Awami League, the party in power.
The University will be closed on Monday because of this violent clash that has left panic in the hearts of many.
