Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, opened the two-day CIRDAP Conference held in Dhaka with a speech. She spoke about various issues that she believes deserve to be focused on in order to move towards the advancement of Bangladesh. CIRDAP can work as a platform to take those matters to the public.
In her speech, she said that Bangladesh needs to focus on the risks that come with global warming. Global warming will not only affect the livelihoods of the people but also harm the structure of the nation as a whole. Industry and trade policies will make a difference in alleviating poverty in Bangladesh which is the main problem plaguing the country.
