The Society for Natural Languages (SNLR) in India has developed the website which will consist of 18,000 pages of Rabindra Rachanabali that includes the entire collection of Rabindranath Tagore’s poetry, novels, short stories, plays, essays, and Rabindrasangeet, his songs.
On Tuesday, the website was launched in Kolkata. After the launch, the Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee thanked the experts involved in the development of such a monumental website. Former ISI professor and SNLR president Dwijiesh Dutta Majumder, IIT professor and SNLR director Aniruddha Basu and linguist Pabitra Sarkar have developed this website along with a team of experts.
Rabindranath Tagore is a Nobel Prize winning poet, novelist, musician, and playwright who reshaped Bengali literature and music in the late 19th century and early 20th century. Now his collection will be just a click away and available to the public.
