Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, has returned from her Kuwait trip.
In Kuwait she attended the banquet that Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah hosted in her honor at the Bayan Palace. They had a meeting where they discussed the relationship between the two countries and how to improve it. At the end of the meeting they signed four treaties which involved cultural relations, economic, industrial and trade relations, tourism, and united commission between the two countries for the betterment of their relationship. Sheikh Hasina urged Kuwait to import products from Bangladesh. She also requested the Kuwaiti Prime Minister to lift the stay imposed in October 2006 on recruitment so Bangladeshi workers can serve in Kuwait’s development efforts.
Sheikh Hasina also gave a speech at a gathering of Bangladeshis in Kuwait.
