Tahsina Shahin is one of the owners of a Fashion House chain called “ Shada Kalo [ Black & White]” in Dhaka Bangladesh . Recently Tahsina published a book containing paintings of 57 artists on the Independence War of 1971 in Bangladesh through which Bangladesh came into being.
Tahsina, a former student of fine arts, was born after the liberation of Bangladesh but she felt inspired to compile and print all these war pictures in a single anthology.
In this interview with VOA Bangla, Tahsina Shahin says the one should know about one’s history and the new generation can learn history through vivid paintings. They bring out the various aspects of the Liberation War.
