Educator Dr. Golam M. Mathbor Speaks About CSWE, ICSD Biennial International Symposium


Dr. Golam M. Mathbor attended the Spring Governance Conference and Meeting of Global Social Work Education Commission of the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), the national accreditation body for 800 universities that offers bachelor, masters, and doctoral programs in social work education in USA.

Dr. Mathbor is the Associate Dean of School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Monmouth University in New Jersey, USA. He is also the Chair of the Department of Philosophy, Religion and Interdisciplinary Studies at Monmouth University.

Currently, he is serving as a Commissioner of the Global Social Work Education Commission of the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), USA; Vice President of the American Institute of Bangladesh Studies (AIBS), and as Vice President of the International Consortium for Social Development (ICSD). Also, Dr. Mathbor is serving as an Adviser of International Council for Advancement of Bangladesh (ICAB). He is the founding President of the Long Branch Concordance, a 501c (3) non profit community service organization in the State of New Jersey serving in the City of Long Branch.

In an interview with Bangla Service Dr. Mathbor spoke about CSWE’s mission and the conference. He also spoke about the 17th ICSD Biennial International Symposium which will be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh in January, 2011.
