On Friday, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), the main opposition party of Bangladesh, expressed their skepticism over the government's true intention behind trying suspected war criminals.
At a press conference at its Paltan office, BNP Secretary General Khandaker Delwar Hossain discussed his party's suspicions. The party made some decisions at Thursday’s national standing committee meeting headed by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia. The briefing on Friday was held to announce these decisions.
Khandaker Delwar Hossain also accused the Awami-League led government of trying to use trials for “crimes against humanity” to subdue opposition members.
