Bangladesh and India to Work Together to Save the Sunderbans

Bangladesh and India have reached an agreement to establish a joint forum with the goal of working together for the conservation of the environment of the Sunderbans, the largest mangrove forest in the world shared by both countries.

Dr. Hasan Mahum, the state minister for environment and forest also said that the forum also aims to make the Sunderbans one of the new seven wonders. He has recently returned from a trip to India. He said that an additional 150 million votes will be required to secure Sunderban’s place in the new wonder’s list.

After completing necessary formalities, the joint forum is to be formed before next September.
