On Tuesday night, at least 25 students were injured during in Jahangirnagar University during a clash between activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League, the ruling party’s student wing. One student was shot and taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The central Chhatra League committee dissolved the university's BCL committee in January of last year following several factional clashes on the campus. In the last 16 months, there have been several clashes in Jahangirnagar University and elsewhere. Also in Chittagong University, classes have been terminated for the last 5 days due to student politics.
