The 16th summit of the South Asian Association of Regional Cooperation (SAARC) will be held in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan, on April 28 and 29.
Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed, Professor of International Relations at Dhaka University spoke to VOA about the issues to be discussed. He said that the focus will be on major issues like climate change, counter terrorism, and common development fund.
Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh will meet Manmohan Singh, the Prime Minister of India in Bhutan for a bilateral meeting.
