On Friday, Prime minister Sheikh Hasina returned to Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh after attending the 16th SAARC summit in Bhutan which came to a close the day before.
Maldivian President Mohamed Nasheed was also with the Prime Minister on the flight. Mohamed Nasheed left Bangladesh after holding a bilateral meeting with Sheikh Hasina at the VIP lounge of the airport of Bangladesh.
Upon the return of the Prime Minister, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), the main opposition party said that India wants to keep the Awami League government in power. Khodakar Delwar, BNP's General Secretary said they are worried that India is supporting the government of Bangladesh which has created a situation of fascism.
