Atleast 30 people were injured, 20 of them in severe conditions, when a passenger train rammed into another train standing on the platform at Mymenshingh railway station in north-eastern Bangladesh.
In the collision, three railway carriages as well as the engine of the oncoming train were damaged. For about an hour, all incoming and outgoing trains were halted due to this accident.
The driver, Sobuj Hasan, 40, who lost control of the train, was also injured. He was admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. The others received first aid.
