On Monday, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) interrogated Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan, former LGRD minister regarding two corruption cases. One of the cases involves the Zia Charitable Trust and the other involves the construction of the Bhairab Bridge.

Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan could not appear before the commission due to illness, so a three-member team came to his Gulshan residence to carry out the interrogation. Earlier they sent him a notice to explain his role in the purchase of the land for Zia Charitable Trust and for the approval of funds for Bhairab Bridge.

The interrogation also involves Tarique Rahman and Arafat Rahman Koko, the sons of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia. Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan was the general secretary of BNP.
