On Tuesday, five suspected members of the outlawed Jamatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), a militant Islamic group, were arrested at Chariakona in Katiadi upazila.
The arrestees were Arif (25), Kamal (25) and Humanyun Kabir (28) from Kishoreganj Sadar, and Mowlana Masud (30) and Mujahid (16) from Pakundia upazila. They were arrested beside a mosque at Chariakona where they were holding a secret meeting. The RAB team that arrested them was led by Lieutenant Foyez.
In Chapainawabganj, the court order to free Yousuf Ali (25), a suspected member of JMB on bail, was deferred until the 23rd of June.
