It is reported that about 11 Thai fishing trawlers entered in Indian waters , in the Bay of Bengal and attacked Indian fishermen in that region. Soon they were chased by the the patrol boats of Indian Border Security Force.Coastguards comprising hovercraft and warships took part in the campaign. However , the trawlers escaped out of the Indian waters.
