Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, Minister for Science and technology , said that ICT brought a silent revolution in the world. In an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service, the minister emphasised on the importance of e-commerce and e-government. He said that in order for goods and services to reach common people e- commerce was necessary. Dr Khan added, similarly for the accountability and transparency of a government , e-government was essential. The minister mentioned that with diminishing scope of exporting tradional goods, Bangladesh is now looking towards ICT sector. The cabinet in Bangladesh has approved a National Policy on Information and Communication .
