Foreign Minister M Morshed Khan has written a letter to US Secretary of State Colin Powel expressing Bangladesh's concern over the US decision to include non-immigrant Bangladeshis in the USA to register with INS. Foreign Minister told reporters this at a press breifing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today. He told reporters that Bangladesh will make all the efforts so that its name is dropped from the list.
Meanwhile, United Nations has chosen Bangladesh as one of the safe places where UN employees can be re-located from the region in case of war in Iraq. There are two Bangladeshi weapons inspectors in UN's inspection team in Iraq. They are Saiful Islam and Musabbir Ali Khondaker. (For details please click on 1600UTC)
