US Ambassador to Bangladesh Mary Ann Peters was called to the Foreign Ministry today to convey Bangladesh's disappointment and concern about US government's decision to include Bangladesh in the list of countries whose nationals have to register with the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
Foreign Minister M. Morshed Khan told reporters that a copy of his letter to US Secretary of State Colin Powell was given to the ambassador. Dhaka urged Washington to reconsider its decision.
