India - Bangladesh - Talks - 2003-01-23

Bangladesh says there are no Indian insurgent camps within its borders, as the two countries agree to adhere to border regulations and to share intelligence information.

Talks between the neighboring countries ended in Dhaka today (Thursday). While Dhaka denied the existence of Indian insurgents, it did agree to help stop anti-Indian activities within its borders.

India denied Dhaka's accusations that its border security forces have killed Bangladeshi citizens without any provocation.

The Bangladeshi Foreign Office says dialogue between the two countries will continue.
