Four Indian diplomats expelled by Pakistan arrived back in India Saturday through the Wagah border crossing.
The diplomats had been given 48 hours to leave the country on Thursday, a day after India ordered four Pakistani diplomats to leave New Delhi.
India accused the four Pakistani diplomats of what was termed "behavior unbecoming to a diplomat" - language frequently used for the charge of spying. Pakistan used similar language in expelling the Indians.
The expulsions came amid charges by both countries that their diplomats were being harassed by the others' intelligence agencies.
