The border situation between Bangladesh and India at Lalmonirhat and Panchagarh is very tense now. The controversy is regarding the 213 Bengali speaking people who are stranded in the no man's land. India says these people are from Bangladesh's Savar area and that they are carrying ration cards. Bangladesh is saying no one will be allowed in without proper documentation and that ration card system is not used in Bangladesh.
