Bangladeshi Foreign Minister M. Morshed Khan has arrived in India, where he is to hold talks with top-level officials on easing tensions over illegal Bangladeshi migrants.
Before leaving for New Delhi earlier today (Thursday), Mr. Khan told reporters he was confident the issues can be resolved through discussion and sincere efforts on both sides.
The foreign minister, who came at the invitation of his Indian counterpart Yashwant Sinha, said the visit may also improve bilateral ties and will be a step forward for the two neighbors.
The two foreign ministers are scheduled to meet Friday. Mr. Khan will also hold talks with other top Indian officials before heading home early next week.
