Massive demonstrations to protest the US led war in Afghanistan was held in Bangladeshi capital Dhaka both by the Islamist and the leftist parties. The leftist political parties have called for a half day General Strike in Dhaka to protest against the war. The Foreign Secretary in Bangladesh , Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury , while speaking to the journalists, said that Bangladesh , in principle was anti-war. They would insist that the sufferings of people in that region should be kept in the minimum level and that Iraq's territorial integrity should be preserved.
