A donors consortium meets in Bangladesh Saturday to review the government's economic performance.
Officials say the two-day meeting in Dhaka will focus on the country's economic reforms, as well as its human rights record. Donor countries have said the amount of future economic aid to Bangladesh depends on its reforms.
Bangladesh, which is highly dependent on foreign aid, received nearly two billion dollars in assistance last year to build roads and schools, and provide the nation's poor with medical care.
