Police in Indian Kashmir say 22 people were killed and 19 injured when a bus hit another vehicle, slid off a mountain road and plunged into a river today (Sunday).
Authorities say the bus had left the town of Doda shortly before it fell into the Chenab River.
The accident took place (about 186 kilometers) northeast of Jammu, the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir state. The injured have been taken to a nearby hospital.
