Sheikh Hasina , the leader of the opposition in Bangladesh has been declining to attend Commonwealth Parliamentary Association's meeting scheduled to begin in Dhaka from September 4 , 2003. In response to a recent letter from the speaker of the house , Mr Abdul Jalil , the general secretary of Awami League says that the opposition were not invited from the begining of the process and now after the pressure from CPA , government seems to be keen on involving the opposition. The Speaker, Jamiruddin Sircar ,on the other hand,refutes these allegations. But Awami League says that they will soon send an envoy to CPA's london office to explain their position.
