Hundreds of thousands of pilgrims are gathered in Bangladesh for the second consecutive day of the annual festival of Biswa Ijtema, or World Muslim Congregation. The three-day congregation is second in size only to the Haj in Saudi Arabia. The organizers say one and one-half million people have already arrived and that figure could double by the final prayers on Monday. The annual festival draws pilgrims from 43 countries including Bangladesh.
