All major opposition parties and their leaders have expressed their opposition to the increase of number of seats in the parliament in Bangladesh. They have also said that the government has betrayed them by not allowing a direct election for the reserved women seats. They have questioned the government's sincerity and said that the government might have been doing this for political expediency.
