Commerce Minister of Bangladesh , Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has admitted to VOA Bangla that extortion is a problem of great magnitude facing businessmen in Bangladesh . Bangladesh Shop Owner's Association feels extremely concerned about the situation and has demanded that the government should take adequate measures against extortionist and ensure the safety and security of businessmen in Bangladesh . They have also threatened to go for an indefinite strike if the government fails to curb down the deteriorating law and order situation.
