India, Myanmar , SriLanka ,Thailand ,Nepal and Bhutan ,the members of BIMSTEC- the organization for the economic cooperation between these countries have signed a treaty with an aim to form a free trade area amongst themselves. Bangladesh, a member, of BIMSTEC too , was unwilling to sign the treaty and was left out.
