People of Bangladesh are paying their tributes to the Martyrs of the Language Movement . At midnight President Iajuddin Ahmed, Prime Minister Khaleda Zia and Leader of the Opposition Sheikh Hasina placed floral wreaths at Shaheed Minar followed by the members of diplomatic corp. US Ambssador Harry K Thomas while paying his tributes to said, " I think the American people and all of the diplomatic corp will be moved by this opportunity to see this ceremony, and I am trying to learn a lot about the Shaheeds and I think that this led to an independent Bangladesh.
