World Bank Economist Syed Akhtar Mahmud is now visiting Afghanistan. In an exclusive telephone interview with Voice of America Dr. Mahmud spoke about the economic situation of that country and the condition of the Afghan people and their daily lives. He also spoke about the situation of women there and the current state of education in Afghanistan.
