Shahadat Chowdhury is the editor of a Bengali magazine titled Weekly 2000. Mr. Chowdhury talks about the present unstable situation in Bangladesh and the threat he sees to free press in the country. He says he too was threatened when he published a report on religious freedom and supported writer Humayun Azad. Mr. Chowdhury believes that despite all odds, the major two parties in Bangladesh should discuss all problems and forge a unity on national issues.
