The floods in Sylhet, Sunamganj, Moulvibazar, Sherpur and Netrakona marked further improvement due to fall in the water levels of major rivers. The situation in Rangpur, Dinajpur, Kurigram, Naogaon and Bogra is likely to further improve while it may remain unchanged in Gaibandha and Sirajgonj districts.It is said that 35 people died in flood in Bangladesh.
According to the Flood Information Centre, more low-lying areas around the capital Dhaka and its adjoining areas may be inundated by the floodwater during the next few hours.
