Bengalees living in the Washington metropolitan area demonstrated against the grenade attack on Awami League rally. The demonstration took place in front of the Bangladesh Embassy. Awami League President in US, Khaled Hasan, women's organization Samhati's founder Noorjahan Bose and others expressed their outrage about the attack. Deputy Chief of Mission Imtiaz Ahmed said that the attack is on the nation and democracy.
