Thousands of mourners paid their last respect to the slain leader, a veteran Awami League activist Ivy Rahman. Ivy Rahman died three days after receiving injuries in a grenade attack. Thousands of people took part in the procession from her namaz-e-janaza to the Banani Cemetery. Many people including opposition leader Sheikh Hasina and US Ambassador to Bangladesh Harry K. Thomas went to pay their respects at the deceased's home.
