The holy month of Ramadan begins from Saturday as the moon was sighted in Bangladesh on friday evening.
A meeting of the National Moon-sighting Committee chaired by its Chairman and State Minister for Religious Affairs Mosharraf Hossain Shajahan confirmed the moonrise for the month of Ramadan on friday .
The prices of daily commodities in the country have gone up amidst helplessness amongst the people of limited income.
