Two Political Stars are Joining on Bush, Kerry Campaign - 2004-10-24

Two political stars are joining President Bush and John Kerry on the campaign trail, with just over a week to go in an extremely close U.S. presidential race.

Former Democratic President Bill Clinton joins Senator Kerry Monday at a rally in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It will be Mr. Clinton's first campaign appearance since heart bypass surgery last month. Mr. Kerry's advisers say they hope the ex-president will provide a boost to the Democratic candidate.

Movie star turned California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger speaks at a Republican rally in Ohio later this week. Mr. Bush campaigns Monday in Colorado, Iowa, and Wisconsin.

Sunday, Mr. Bush picked up the endorsement of two of the largest newspapers in Ohio -- the Columbus Dispatch and the Cincinnati Enquirer.

The influential Washington Post endorsed Senator Kerry.
