President Bush has told heads of state attending the APEC summit in Chile that the spread of liberty is the most important weapon in the fight against terror.
Speaking on Saturday, Mr. Bush said democracy and free trade are vital to a peaceful society.
He said the United States would destroy terrorist networks wherever they are, and is determined to prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
Mr. Bush said the members of the trading bloc are united in their efforts to get North Korea to abandon its nuclear ambitions. He said the message to North Korean leader Kim Jong Il is clear - "get rid of your nuclear weapons program."
