Twin suicide car bombings on a Baghdad police station have left seven people dead and dozens more wounded, one day after a similar attack killed 11 Iraqi policemen in the capital.
Officials said Saturday's attack took place near a checkpoint leading into Baghdad's "Green Zone," which houses Iraq's interim government and the U.S. and British embassies.
A separate car bombing targeting a bus in the northern city of Mosul Saturday killed at least 15 Kurdish militiamen and wounded dozens of others.
An Internet statement purportedly from Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's terrorist network claimed responsibility for the attack.
Also today, Saturday, U.S. military officials said two American soldiers were killed in bomb attacks in Baghdad and Baquba, and said six other soldiers were wounded.
